THE NEW ERA OF PGS APPLICATION IN ART
13–14 February 2015 Rome
Roma Eventi – Piazza di Spagna – Via Alibert, 5

This GENERA and Bioroma Symposium is aimed at providing clinicians, embryologist and basic scientists an opportunity to focus on and discuss some of the most attractive and innovative advances in the field of preimplantation genetics  applied to reproductive medicine.

Recently, several new features about the genesis of chromosome aneuploidies in human gametes and preimplantation embryos have been unravelled. Along with the development of new genetic testing methods, this knowledge has been extensively used in the last few years to design optimal approaches for aneuploidy screening in IVF cycles to improve clinical outcomes.

A thorough description and analysis of the current and forthcoming tools of embryo developmental
competence evaluation will be provided in the meeting.

Preclinical and clinical evidences of their effectiveness are of pivotal importance and will be the core of the dissertations. We look forward to a scientific debate, a consensus on the great potential that technological advances in preimplantation genetics have to fill the lack of knowledge on the variables influencing embryo implantation.

At the end of the works, participants will have a better appreciation of the possibilities in developing and using novel methodologies and forms of infertility treatment thanks to knowledge gained from basic and clinical science.

This meeting will introduce approaches and technologies that can be used to improve ART outcomes and will be supported by lively discussion and debate.
